Instructions
-
If you are using store bought dough take the dough out of the fridge for at least an hour before use
-
Preheat your oven to 400F for at least 30-40 minutes before
-
Mix together the rest of the ingredients for the butter glaze
-
Make the filling by mixing the ingredients into a bowl and mash up the jalapeños. If you have shreds, leave the cheese out for a bit and it should get soft enough to press it into a ball! - but this may differ depending on the cheese used!)
-
When making the dough balls i used 40g portions of the dough and about 1 tsp of the mixture inside.
-
For the filling create balls and place into the freezer ( this makes it far easier when wrapping the dough around)
-
Take the dough and flatten it into a little circle on your palm and place your cheese ball into the middle, wrap the dough around the cheeseball and seal it pinching the dough together. Roll into a round smooth ball
-
Place dough balls onto a greased cast iron skillet or baking dish of choice
-
Keep them snug together if you want them to have that pull apart family style feel.
-
Brush on the buttery glaze generously - leave a tbsp or so to pour on after it comes out the oven
-
Place on the middle shelf of your oven and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown
-
When its done, take out of the oven and pour on the extra buttery goodness!!
-
I strongly recommend eating hot out the oven and it can be served with a little marinara sauce on the side BUT i don't feel its necessary at all!
